Juventus are already looking ahead to their next moves in the transfer market. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, representatives of the Bianconeri recently travelled to Amsterdam, where they had a clear mission at the Johan Cruyff Arena: to watch Virgil van Dijk and Brian Brobbey live.
The two Dutch internationals offer very different profiles, but both have emerged on Juventus’ radar as the club plans for the future under Luciano Spalletti.
Van Dijk as a Potential Bremer Replacement
The most intriguing name is Virgil van Dijk. The experienced 35-year-old centre-back has a contract with Liverpool until June 30, 2027, meaning he could become a free agent next summer.
Juventus are monitoring his situation, with Gazzetta reporting that the Dutch defender could become an option if Gleison Bremer is sold during the summer.
Van Dijk’s vast experience, leadership qualities and winning mentality are characteristics that could fit what Spalletti wants to add to his squad.
For now, however, there have been no negotiations or concrete offers. Juventus are simply monitoring the situation and assessing the potential operation.
Brobbey Catches Juventus’ Attention
The second name is considerably younger: Brian Brobbey. The 24-year-old striker has attracted attention with an impressive start to his Premier League campaign at Sunderland. He has scored three goals in his first five league appearances, and his performances have not gone unnoticed in Turin.
According to Gazzetta, Brobbey is among the forwards being monitored by Juventus, with Luciano Spalletti also appreciating his profile.
His current market value is estimated at around €40 million, which would make any potential transfer a significant investment for the Bianconeri.
Juventus Already Planning for the Next Transfer Window
The presence of Juventus scouts in Amsterdam shows that the club is already working on potential solutions for next season.
Van Dijk could provide an experienced and potentially cost-effective option in defence if the right conditions emerge for his arrival, while Brobbey would represent a longer-term investment in attack.
For now, this is primarily a scouting operation rather than concrete negotiations. Nevertheless, both players have now firmly entered Juventus’ transfer radar.
