Juventus are entering the final stages of the summer transfer window with several operations still open. Franck Kessié is getting closer to Turin, while Jonathan David’s departure could trigger a domino effect and allow the Bianconeri to further reshape their attack. At the same time, work continues on outgoing transfers, while new names are emerging for the final days of the mercato.
KESSIÉ GETTING CLOSER TO JUVENTUS
Juventus continue to work on the signing of Franck Kessié, who is currently a free agent. According to Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport, the Bianconeri are currently ahead in the race despite a serious attempt from Roma.
Kessié has given priority to Juventus, while Luciano Spalletti wants him in his squad and has already spoken to him several times. Juventus are offering him a two-year contract with an option for a further season.
Fabio Miretti’s departure frees up space in the squad, but on its own it may not be enough from a financial point of view. Due to UEFA restrictions, Juventus must keep the overall wage bill under control, which means that one more departure could finally unlock the operation.
DAVID GETTING CLOSER TO AN EXIT – THREE CLUBS IN THE RACE
Jonathan David’s situation has changed. Tuttosport reports that the Canadian, who until now wanted to stay and fight for his place at Juventus, is now more willing to listen to offers from other clubs.
Atlético Madrid are showing concrete interest, while Fiorentina have also emerged as a possible destination if Moise Kean leaves the club. Paris FC are also interested in the Canadian forward.
The main obstacle remains his salary of around €6 million plus bonuses, which means finding the right formula for a transfer will not be easy.
SØRLOTH REMAINS SPALLETTI’S FIRST CHOICE
This is one of the more interesting developments today.
According to Tuttosport, Alexander Sørloth remains the striker Spalletti wants the most. The Juventus coach believes the Norwegian has exactly the characteristics currently missing from the squad – physical strength and a strong presence inside the penalty area.
A different kind of swap deal with Atlético Madrid is now being considered as well: instead of Nico González, Jonathan David could become the key piece in the operation.
However, the deal remains complicated. Atlético value Sørloth at around €40 million, while his future is also linked to the situation of Julián Álvarez.
ZIRKZEE WAITING FOR JUVENTUS
If the Sørloth operation proves impossible, Joshua Zirkzee remains a serious alternative.
Nicolò Schira reports that the Dutch striker has made himself available to Juventus, who are considering an attempt to sign the Manchester United forward on a loan deal with an option to buy.
Sky also confirms that David’s departure could open the door for Zirkzee, although talks with Manchester United are not yet at an advanced stage.
RUGANI CLOSE TO PARMA
Another Juventus departure could soon be completed.
Daniele Rugani is close to joining Parma, according to reports emerging this morning. Juventus want to further reduce the squad in the final days of the transfer window, while the experienced centre-back could remain in Serie A.
MÆHLE BACK IN JUVENTUS’ FOCUS

Joakim Mæhle has been offered to Juventus and his name is being seriously considered as an option for the flank. His ability to play both on the left and on the right is particularly appreciated, as well as the Serie A experience he gained with Atalanta under Gian Piero Gasperini. Juventus are looking for an additional option out wide, and Mæhle is one of the more accessible players available on the market in the final stage of the transfer window.
NICO GONZÁLEZ: YILDIZ INJURY CHANGES THE PLANS

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Argentine wants to work with Diego Simeone again at Atlético Madrid, while Juventus would at least like to cover his remaining book value of around €20 million, with the aim of making some capital gain as well. However, Kenan Yildiz’s injury has changed the situation. Spalletti appreciates Nico and would now be happy to keep him as an additional attacking option.
MILIK AND EKHATOR COULD ALSO LEAVE
Juventus have not yet finished reshaping the attack.
Tuttosport reports that a contract termination remains one of the possible solutions for Arkadiusz Milik, while a loan move to Parma is still a possibility for young Jeff Ekhator.
Their futures will also be linked to Juventus’ final decisions regarding David and the arrival of a new striker.
MIRETTI TRAVELS TO ISTANBUL – TRANSFER ENTERS FINAL STAGE
The transfer of Fabio Miretti to Beşiktaş has entered its final stage. According to Sky Sport Italia, the Juventus midfielder travelled to Istanbul on 27 August, where he is expected to undergo medical examinations before signing his contract with the Turkish club.
Juventus and Beşiktaş had already reached an agreement, and Miretti has now taken the next concrete step towards completing the move.
According to previous reports, the structure of the deal is expected to be a €2 million paid loan with a €10 million option to buy.
If the medical tests are completed without any issues, Miretti will then sign his contract, after which official announcements from the clubs are expected.
