Dusan Vlahovic has closed a major chapter of his career. After leaving Juventus and signing for Besiktas, the Serbian striker sent an emotional farewell message to the club, the city of Turin, his former teammates and the Bianconeri fans.
Vlahovic admitted it was hard to find the right words after his years in the black and white shirt.
"There are moments when it is hard to find the right words. And this is one of them.
When I arrived in Turin, I had a huge dream, a great desire to show who I am and pride in wearing a shirt that carries an incredible history.
My journey with Juventus is coming to an end."
"I always tried to give my all"
The Serbian striker also looked back on the highs and lows he experienced during his time at Juventus.
"These were intense years. Years of victories, goals, immense joy, but also difficult moments. Still, I always tried to give everything I had, every time I stepped onto the pitch.
Because wearing this shirt means carrying the history of Italian football on your shoulders, and for that I will forever be grateful."
Vlahovic gave special thanks to the people he worked with during his stay in Turin.
"I want to thank Juventus, Andrea Agnelli, John Elkann and the whole family, all the people who work behind the scenes every day, my coaches, and above all my teammates.
We shared much more than ninety minutes on a football pitch. Some moments will stay with me for the rest of my life."
A special message for Turin and the fans
Vlahovic stressed that Turin was not just a city where he played football, but a place that over the years became his home.
"Thank you to Turin, the city that welcomed me and became my home. I grew up here, not only as a footballer but above all as a man."
Every chant, every child in my shirt, every goal celebration under the stand, every embrace after a goal - these are images I will carry with me wherever I go."
"Juventus will forever be part of me"
At the end of his farewell message, Vlahovic left the words that best describe his bond with the club now that their journey together is over.
"In football, paths change, but what we lived through together cannot be erased.
I am leaving Turin with many memories, with gratitude, and knowing that I am leaving a part of myself here.
I arrived wanting to become part of Juventus' history. I leave knowing that Juventus will forever be part of me."
Vlahovic closed his message with the words:
