Alajbegović and Co. Take Down Napoli in Birthday Celebration!

Juventus received the best possible birthday present on their 129th anniversary: a victory over Napoli! Thanks to goals from Kerim Alajbegović and Jérémie Boga, the Bianconeri secured a 2-0 win at the Allianz Stadium and brought smiles back to their supporters after some difficult days.

Following the defeat in Genoa and the team’s decision to go into isolation, Luciano Spalletti’s side found the perfect response on the pitch. Alajbegović turned the game around with a stunning goal, while Boga completed the celebrations on a memorable birthday evening.

Vicario kept Juventus alive, Cabal hit the post

Napoli were the first side to threaten seriously. Lorenzo Lucca attempted a header following a cross from the right, but Guglielmo Vicario produced an excellent save to prevent the visitors from taking the lead. Juventus gradually became more dangerous.

Their closest opportunity came through Juan Cabal, who hit the post in the 28th minute following a corner and a scramble inside the penalty area. During the continuation of the same move, Olivera made contact with Cabal, prompting protests from the home players. Simone Sozza did not award a penalty, and the decision remained unchanged following a VAR review.

Alajbegović hinted at his magic even before half-time

Kerim Alajbegović was among Juventus’ most dangerous players. Towards the end of the first half, he created space for himself with an individual run and unleashed a left-footed effort, but Alex Meret managed to make the save.

At the other end, Noa Lang also had a good opportunity, but failed to hit the target. Despite chances at both ends, the first half ended goalless.

Kerim’s left foot sent the stadium into celebration!

The moment that changed the match arrived in the 70th minute. Alajbegović embarked on an individual run before unleashing a powerful long-range strike with his left foot, beating Meret. The ball struck the post before finding the back of the net, sending the home supporters into absolute celebration. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international took off his shirt during the celebrations and received a yellow card, but his moment of brilliance had finally given Juventus the long-awaited lead.

Napoli reduced to ten men, Boga seals the victory

Things became even more difficult for the visitors in the 75th minute. Luca Marianucci received his second yellow card for a foul on Cabal, leaving Napoli with ten players. After Alajbegović, it was Jérémie Boga’s turn to take centre stage.

The Ivorian forward, who had come on as a substitute for the opening goalscorer, scored Juventus’ second goal and completed the birthday celebrations.

Kerim opened the door, Jérémie confirmed the victory. The two players delivered the result the Bianconeri desperately needed after their disappointment in Genoa.

The perfect birthday present and hope for a better Juventus

This victory does not erase the problems of recent weeks, but it gives Juventus something they had been missing: confidence and a reason to approach their upcoming matches with greater belief.

Spalletti’s team must now demonstrate consistency. The evening against Napoli could prove to be an important turning point, particularly because of the contributions of Alajbegović and Boga, who stepped up when the team needed a reaction.

On the club’s 129th anniversary, the Allianz Stadium had every reason to celebrate. Juventus got their victory, and the supporters found new hope.

Fino alla fine forza Juventus 🍀👑🥂
