Juventus make a new move for Dibu Martínez
Juventus have returned to the market for a new goalkeeper, with Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez once again emerging as a
serious option for the Bianconeri.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus have made a new attempt to explore the possibility of signing the Argentine international from Aston Villa.
The situation comes amid new developments involving Zion Suzuki, another goalkeeper who has been linked with Juventus.
Suzuki situation changes Juventus’ plans
Suzuki’s potential move to Paris Saint-Germain has been blocked, but Juventus would still find it difficult to reopen negotiations with Parma because of the Italian club’s high asking price.
At the same time, Aston Villa have reportedly renewed their interest in Suzuki.
These developments have pushed Juventus to look again at alternative options, with Dibu Martínez returning to the club’s radar.
Martínez has not given the green light
Juventus have made a fresh approach for Martínez, but there is currently one major obstacle: the Argentine goalkeeper has not yet given his approval to the move.
Therefore, there is no agreement between the parties at this stage and the operation should not yet be considered an advanced transfer.
However, Juventus’ renewed attempt shows that the goalkeeper position remains an important issue for the club ahead of the new season.
What happens next?
Juventus will now have to understand whether Martínez is willing to consider leaving Aston Villa and moving to Turin.
If the Argentine opens the door to the transfer, the Bianconeri could then assess the financial conditions required to reach an agreement with Aston Villa.
