Martínez deal is off
Juventus will not proceed with Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez under the current conditions.
Aston Villa are demanding around €15 million, while Juventus are unwilling to meet that valuation, particularly without sufficient guarantees regarding the Argentine goalkeeper’s physical condition.
As things stand, the operation is off.
Juventus push for Vicario
Attention has now shifted to Guglielmo Vicario.
Juventus are continuing talks with Tottenham and would prefer to sign the Italian goalkeeper on a straight loan without an obligation to buy.
Giovanni Carnevali and Ricky Massara are working to soften Tottenham’s position and find a formula acceptable to both clubs.
There is growing optimism that progress could be made in the coming days, although no final agreement has been reached yet.
For Juventus, the situation is now clear: Martínez is out, while Vicario has become the priority for the goalkeeping position.
