Juventus finalising Jhon Lucumí transfer
Juventus are on the verge of completing another signing. The Bianconeri have reached an agreement with Bologna for the transfer of Jhon Lucumí, with only the medical examinations and the signing of his contract standing between the Colombian international and an official move to Turin.
According to reports from the Italian media, Juventus increased their offer during the final stage of negotiations and eventually found a formula that satisfied Bologna.
How much will Juventus pay for Lucumí?
The agreement between the two clubs is expected to be worth €18 million as a fixed fee, plus a further €2 million in bonuses.
The deal is also reported to include a 10% sell-on clause in favour of Bologna in the event of a future transfer of the Colombian defender.
Juventus had previously offered €17 million, but the improved proposal accelerated negotiations and ultimately led to an agreement between the clubs.
Medical scheduled for Sunday
Lucumí is expected to arrive in Turin and undergo his medical examinations on Sunday, 16 August.
If everything goes according to plan, the medical will be followed by the signing of his contract and his official presentation as a new Juventus player.
According to the latest reports, Lucumí has agreed a five-year contract with Juventus worth approximately €2.5 million per season.
Lucumí only wanted Juventus
The player’s desire also played an important role in getting the transfer over the line. Despite interest from other European clubs, the Colombian made Juventus his priority.
Lucumí will bring Serie A experience, physical strength and an additional tactical option to Luciano Spalletti’s defence as a naturally left-footed centre-back.
Juventus are therefore continuing to reshape their squad ahead of the new season, with an official announcement expected once Lucumí successfully completes his medical examinations and signs his contract.
