After negotiations with Franck Kessié collapsed, Juventus have started to consider other options for midfield, and one of the new names is Pape Matar Sarr of Tottenham.
According to reports emerging in Italy, the Bianconeri have enquired about the possibility of signing the Senegal international. Juventus would like to find a loan formula, while it remains to be seen under what conditions Tottenham would be willing to discuss his departure.
Sarr is 23 years old, plays as a central midfielder, and according to the latest available figures his current estimated market value is around €28.9 million. His contract with Tottenham runs until 30 June 2030.
FROM SENEGAL VIA METZ TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE
Sarr began his football journey at Senegal's famous Génération Foot academy, which also produced Sadio Mané. He moved from Senegal to French side Metz in 2020, where he was quickly given his chance in senior football.
Tottenham recognised his potential as early as 2021 and signed him for around €16.9 million, before leaving him on loan at Metz so that he could continue to get regular minutes. He moved to London permanently in 2022.

That means we are not talking about an inexperienced player, but about a midfielder who, at just 23, has already racked up more than 100 league appearances for Tottenham.
Sarr is a modern midfielder who brings plenty of energy, running and physical strength to the middle of the park, and he can contribute in both phases of play. That is exactly the kind of profile that could appeal to Luciano Spalletti after the club walked away from Kessié.
