Juventus speed up talks for Grabara
The big changes between the posts at Juventus continue.
According to the latest information from Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have made significant progress in negotiations with Wolfsburg over signing Kamil Grabara.
The talks concern a loan with an option to buy, and one of the most important conditions has already been met: the Polish international has given the green light for a move to Turin.
Romano reports that the deal is in progress and that the two clubs are continuing to negotiate the final terms.
Di Marzio: Grabara very close to Juventus
Shortly after the first reports, another very important confirmation arrived.
Gianluca Di Marzio wrote that Juventus are very close to signing Grabara and presents him as the man set to become Guglielmo Vicario's new backup. Di Marzio also notes that the original information came from Polish journalist Tomasz Wlodarczyk, who was among the first to reveal the talks.
Football Italia also confirm the negotiations are at an advanced stage and report that Grabara could arrive in Turin in the coming days to complete the transfer.
Who is Kamil Grabara?
Grabara is a 27-year-old Polish goalkeeper who has been at Wolfsburg since 2024.
The European public got to know him much earlier. He joined Liverpool at a very young age, went through part of his development there, and later gained experience on loan at AGF and Huddersfield.
He made his biggest breakthrough at Copenhagen, where his performances attracted the attention of clubs from stronger European leagues. A transfer to Wolfsburg followed, where he succeeded long-time number one Koen Casteels.
A complete rebuild of the Juventus goal
Grabara's potential arrival makes even more sense when you look at what Juventus are doing with their entire goalkeeping department.
Guglielmo Vicario arrived as the new solution for the number one spot, while work continues on the departures of the previous keepers.
Michele Di Gregorio is on the verge of joining Bournemouth, while Mattia Perin has been linked with Palermo. Football Italia link Grabara's arrival precisely to a complete rebuild of Juventus' goalkeeping unit.
If every operation is completed according to the current plan, the hierarchy would be fairly clear:
Vicario – first choice
Grabara – his new alternative
The Pole said "yes", now the clubs must agree
At this moment the most important thing is that there are no obstacles on the player's side. Grabara wants the move to Juventus and has already agreed to relocate to Turin. Juventus and Wolfsburg now need to define the financial details of the loan and the terms under which the Bianconeri could later sign the Polish international permanently.
No final buy-out figure has been reliably published yet, so it should not be added until confirmation arrives.
After Vicario, Juventus could thus bring in another goalkeeper and completely change the look of their goalkeeping department for the 2026/27 season.
