Antonio Conte on His Future:
“Regarding the reports published in recent days by various media outlets in Italy and abroad, I believe it is necessary for me to speak out and clarify the situation.
My name has been linked with several clubs, but there are currently no negotiations at an advanced stage. After a wonderful and successful period in charge of Napoli, I will take as much time as I need to assess how and when I will return to coaching. It will be a carefully considered decision, which I will make when I believe the right conditions are in place.
I have read reports about alleged financial demands and demands for full authority that I supposedly made to the clubs mentioned, as well as concerns regarding what has been described as my ‘strong character’. These claims are unfounded, as there are currently no concrete grounds on which such assessments can be based.
If a concrete opportunity arises, that will be the time to speak with the interested club and jointly consider the terms of a potential agreement, while respecting the needs of both parties and the principles that define my work as a coach.
Until then, any assumptions about my demands and my professional future remain speculation and cannot be considered facts.”
