Crystal Palace enquired about Jonathan David
Crystal Palace have made contact to explore the possibility of signing Jonathan David. The English club's interest could open negotiations over a swap involving Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Mateta reportedly does not want to extend his contract, which runs until 2027, which is why Palace have lowered their initial valuation from 35 million to roughly 25 million euros. Juventus value David similarly, so a swap without a major cash adjustment would in theory be possible.
Still, the clubs have not reached an agreement, nor has an official bid been confirmed. Aston Villa are also interested in Mateta, which further complicates the situation.
Atletico Madrid have also asked about Jonathan David, who is reportedly open to a move to Spain. The talks raised the possibility of Alexander Sorloth moving in the opposite direction.
Sorloth is currently one of the main candidates to strengthen Juventus' attack. Luciano Spalletti rates the Norwegian international extremely highly and believes his underwhelming World Cup did not reflect his real qualities because he played out of position. Atletico are reportedly asking for around 35 million euros, while Juventus can currently offer a loan with an option to buy. Negotiations are ongoing, but the structure of a potential deal has not yet been agreed.
Juventus back in contact over Zirkzee
According to information reported by Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto, Juventus director Frederic Massara has re-contacted the representatives of Joshua Zirkzee. The biggest obstacle remains the structure of the transfer. Manchester United want a permanent sale or a loan with an obligation to buy, while Juventus are trying to agree a loan with an option to buy. Zirkzee is open to a return to Italy, but there is still no official bid and no agreement between the clubs. His arrival could also depend on Jonathan David's departure.
Yildiz's injury blocks Nico Gonzalez's exit
Matteo Moretto reports that Kenan Yildiz's serious injury has changed Juventus' plans for Nico Gonzalez. Spalletti has not given the green light for the Argentine international's departure for now, because the team would be left without an important option on the wing.
Atletico Madrid continue to show interest in Nico, but a deal is far from straightforward. His future could be tied to the Sorloth negotiations, although no swap has been agreed at the moment.
Yildiz needs surgery and will be out for almost three months
Medical consultations have removed any remaining doubts: Kenan Yildiz will need surgery over a suspected fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport's estimate, Juventus' number ten will be out for at least two and a half months, with a full recovery likely to take around three months. The date and location of the operation are still to be determined.
Yildiz's absence could speed up the arrival of a new forward and at the same time halt the sale of Nico Gonzalez.
Cabal turns down Bologna and other offers
Alfredo Pedulla reported that Bologna made a fresh attempt to sign Juan Cabal in the past few hours. Clubs outside Italy have also enquired about the Colombian defender. Cabal is currently rejecting all offers and wants to stay at Juventus. His stance could change before the end of the window, but for now the talks are at a standstill.
Al Hilal tracking Conceicao, but Juventus do not want to sell
Al Hilal have placed Francisco Conceicao among their alternative targets for the wing. The Saudi club's first choice is reportedly Gabriel Martinelli, with the Portuguese considered alongside Pedro Neto. For now there is no concrete offer and no negotiations with Juventus. Spalletti has publicly stated that he considers Conceicao an important player and does not want him sold.
That is why claims of a "pharaonic offer" should be treated as an unconfirmed rumour: only Al Hilal's interest is reliable.
Gatti and Ekhator back in team training
Federico Gatti and Jeff Ekhator have returned to group training. Both are trying to make themselves available to Spalletti for the match against Parma. Their return is an important relief for the coaching staff, especially after confirmation that Juventus will be without Yildiz for an extended period.

According to the latest reports in the Italian media, the Ivory Coast international has long been giving priority to Juventus and is waiting for the Bianconeri to create the financial conditions for his arrival.
The departure of Fabio Miretti should free up additional space in the wage budget, while Juventus are also trying to find a solution for Teun Koopmeiners. His potential exit would make the whole operation even easier.
According to Nicolo Schira, Kessie is getting ever closer to Juventus as a free agent, with a contract until 2028 plus an option for 2029 being prepared. Italian sources mention an annual salary of roughly 4-4.5 million euros plus bonuses, although the details on the contract length still vary from source to source.
In the meantime Roma have entered the picture as well, but Juventus currently hold an important advantage: Kessie's own desire to continue his career in Turin.
The negotiations have entered a very concrete phase, but the transfer is not done yet. Juventus first want to complete the planned departures, after which they could make the decisive step towards signing the former Milan midfielder.
Juventus asked about Joakim Maehle: a bargain could be on the cards
Juventus are intensifying their search for a new left-back, and Joakim Maehle of Wolfsburg is on the Bianconeri's list. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, during the negotiations with the German club that brought Kamil Grabara to Turin, Juventus used their contacts with Wolfsburg to ask about the conditions for signing the Danish international as well.
Maehle's contract situation could make this operation particularly attractive for Juventus. His deal is approaching its end, which is why Wolfsburg could agree to a sale on more favourable financial terms rather than risk losing him later without a meaningful fee.
