The final days of the summer transfer window have left Juventus with plenty of open questions. The Franck Kessié deal has collapsed, talks are under way with Atlético Madrid over Jonathan David and Alexander Sørloth, while the futures of Nico Gonzalez, Edon Zhegrova, Arkadiusz Milik and several young players are being decided at the same time.
KESSIÉ WILL NOT JOIN JUVENTUS – TALKS DEFINITIVELY COLLAPSE
A major twist in the negotiations between Juventus and Franck Kessié. Although this morning it looked as though decisive talks would follow and that the Bianconeri were ready to make one final push, no agreement was reached during the day.
The sticking points were the contract details, above all the bonuses, the conditions attached to a possible third year and the signing-on fee. Juventus have therefore decided to call off the operation, while Kessié will now consider other options.
Romeo Agresti confirmed the end of the story with a short message, "Kessié ❌⚪⚫", while Matteo Moretto also reports that Juventus are no longer in the race. Sportmediaset writes that Massara will now have to look for an alternative in midfield.
JUVENTUS AND ATLÉTICO IN TALKS – DAVID FOR SØRLOTH?
One of the most intriguing operations of the final days of the transfer window is taking shape between Turin and Madrid.
According to Orazio Accomando and Sportmediaset, Juventus and Atlético Madrid are in contact in an attempt to find a formula for a deal that would see Jonathan David move to Madrid and Alexander Sørloth arrive in Turin.
David has opened the door to a move to Atlético, and intermediaries are trying to reach an agreement on the financial terms. The operation is far from simple, however, not least because of the Canadian striker's high salary.
Sørloth is the kind of profile Luciano Spalletti likes, as he wants a physically stronger, classic centre-forward leading his attack. There is no final agreement for now, but the contacts are there.
MILIK MAY STAY AFTER ALL – SPALLETTI HAS CHANGED HIS VIEW OF THE POLE
An unexpected twist could also be on the cards for Arkadiusz Milik.
According to Nicolò Schira, Spalletti was pleasantly surprised by the Polish striker during pre-season. As a result, there is a possibility that Milik stays at Juventus as the third option up front.
The biggest question mark remains his fitness. Milik has played only around 20 minutes of competitive football in the past 22 months, so his physical condition will be one of the key factors in the final decision.
EKHATOR COULD GO OUT ON LOAN – JUVENTUS HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL ENQUIRIES
Milik's possible stay could have a direct impact on the future of Jeff Ekhator.
Juventus have received several enquiries for the young striker, and one of the options is a season-long loan so that he can get continuity and more minutes.
The club are still assessing the situation, and the final decision could depend precisely on what the attacking line looks like once the transfer window closes.
NEW NAME FOR THE LEFT FLANK - JUVENTUS CONSIDERING MELVIN BARD
Juventus continue to search for an alternative to Andrea Cambiaso on the left side of the defence.
According to Mirko Di Natale, Melvin Bard of Nice has emerged among the players the Bianconeri are considering. The French left-back could be available on loan with an option to buy set at around €4–5 million.

According to Sportmediaset, Lazio have shown interest in the Albanian winger, and according to Gianluca Di Marzio a first exploratory contact has already taken place.
Tuttosport also confirms that Zhegrova's future is linked to Nico Gonzalez's situation. Should the Argentine stay in Turin, Juventus could open the door to a loan move for Zhegrova.
AL-ITTIHAD ENQUIRE ABOUT ZHEGROVA – PLAYER OPEN TO SAUDI ARABIA
Lazio are not the only club keeping an eye on Edon Zhegrova. Romeo Agresti reports that Al-Ittihad have enquired about the Juventus winger, although Zhegrova is not the only player on the Saudi club's list.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Zhegrova would be open to a move to Al-Ittihad and finds the prospect of a switch to Saudi Arabia appealing. The situation could therefore develop quickly in the final days of the market.
LICINA SET FOR CREMONESE – JUVENTUS DO NOT WANT TO SELL HIM
Adin Licina is getting closer to a move to Cremonese.
A straight loan without an option to buy is being arranged, as Juventus believe in the young player and do not want to lose control of his future.
Tuttosport reports that the deal is practically defined. Licina wants more minutes and the next step after the Next Gen, and Cremonese should give him the chance to play regularly in senior football.
