The Bianconeri have just come through an extremely hectic 31 August. In practically a single day Juventus wrapped up the arrivals of Pape Matar Sarr and Nick Woltemade, cleared the way for the departure of Jonathan David, and worked in parallel on one last change in defence.

WOLTEMADE ARRIVES IN TURIN - MEDICAL AND SIGNING TO FOLLOW!
The most important change compared to this morning's reports: Nick Woltemade has arrived in Turin!
Romeo Agresti confirmed his arrival, and the German striker now enters the final stage of the transfer: medical, contract signing and then the official announcement from Juventus.
Woltemade left Bremen for Turin by private jet this morning together with his parents and his agent Danny Bachmann. BILD recorded his departure at 11:34.
AGREEMENT WITH NEWCASTLE – STRAIGHT LOAN WITHOUT AN OPTION TO BUY
What is particularly important is the formula. Juventus and Newcastle have agreed a straight loan with no option to buy. That means the Bianconeri currently have no contractual right to automatically keep the German striker at the end of the season. Italian sources, including La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportmediaset, value the operation at around €5 million, with Juventus covering his salary. BILD offers a slightly more precise and different structure: €2.75 million fixed + around a million in bonuses, with the salary fully covered.
WOLTEMADE CHOSE JUVENTUS – TURNED DOWN OTHER OFFERS TOO
Another interesting detail from the last few hours is the player's own wish. According to Schira, Woltemade turned down three offers from other European clubs, Atlético Madrid among them, in order to join Juventus. Sky Deutschland confirms that the German gave Juventus the green light, which allowed the transfer to be completed very quickly once Newcastle agreed to the loan.
The Bianconeri have thus beaten the competition and landed the striker Luciano Spalletti wanted as a physically different option in attack.
DAVID LEAVES TURIN – DESTINATION ATLÉTICO MADRID!
Woltemade's arrival is directly linked to the departure of Jonathan David. The Canadian striker set off for Madrid this morning to complete his move to Atlético. The deal has been agreed on the basis of a loan with a €25 million option to buy. La Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport both confirm that structure of the operation today. Juventus had previously been unwilling to let David go without a replacement secured. Now that Woltemade is in Turin, that obstacle has been removed.
SARR IN TURIN – ANOTHER MAJOR SIGNING ABOUT TO BE SEALED
Pape Matar Sarr arrived in Turin last night and began his medical immediately after landing. Juventus and Tottenham had previously reached an agreement on an operation worth a total of around €30 million. Sarr arrives on loan, with a clause that under certain sporting conditions can turn into an obligation to buy. Tuttosport confirms this morning that the two key conditions are tied to Sarr's number of appearances and Juventus' European qualification.
CABAL–ATALANTA: CONTACTS STILL ALIVE!
This is now Juventus' most important open operation before 20:00.
According to the latest information from Gianluca Di Marzio, contacts between Juventus and Atalanta over Juan Cabal are still alive. Atalanta want the Colombian defender, while Juventus are prepared to let him go if the right formula can be found. Tuttosport adds a very important detail: Juventus want a permanent sale of Cabal, not simply to send him out on loan. Contacts continued overnight, but the deal still has to be completed.
TAGLIAFICO WAITS FOR CABAL – JUVENTUS HAVE THE DEAL READY!
And it is precisely on Cabal that Juventus' potential final signing of the summer, Nicolas Tagliafico, depends. Tuttosport brings a very strong report this morning: Juventus have secured the Argentine full-back and reached a full agreement with both the player and Lyon. La Gazzetta dello Sport also reports that Tagliafico is ready to come to Turin as soon as Cabal's departure frees up a place.
Romeo Agresti reported last night on positive contact between Juventus and Tagliafico's representatives, with the same key caveat: everything depends on Cabal.
ATLÉTICO TRY TO "STEAL" TAGLIAFICO FROM JUVENTUS!
A major twist in the final hours of the mercato! Atlético Madrid have entered the race for Nicolas Tagliafico and are trying to snatch the Argentine full-back from Juventus. According to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have already agreed terms for Tagliafico's arrival, but the Bianconeri cannot complete the operation until Juan Cabal leaves Turin. Atalanta are interested in the Colombian, but his transfer is not yet done. Earlier reports today indicated that Juventus want a sale for Cabal, not a loan. Atlético are now trying to take advantage of the stalemate and have already made contact over Tagliafico, while negotiations continue. Juventus are therefore in a race against time: Cabal has to leave so that the Bianconeri can give the final green light for Tagliafico, while Atlético try to snatch him in the final hours of the market.
ZHEGROVA - LAZIO ENTER THE PICTURE, BUT THERE IS A SAUDI OPTION TOO
Tuttosport reports in its Deadline Day LIVE that Lazio have made initial contact with Juventus over Edon Zhegrova. With Nico Gonzalez staying, the space for Zhegrova is shrinking further, and the player wants minutes. At the same time, the Al-Ittihad story also remains open.
There Juventus do not face the same pressure of today's 20:00 deadline, since the Saudi market closes later. A possible Zhegrova move to Saudi Arabia could therefore be resolved even after the Italian mercato has closed.
