Lucumi is a new Juventus player
It is now official, Jhon Lucumi is a new Juventus footballer!
On Monday 17 August the Bianconeri officially confirmed the arrival of the 28-year-old Colombian international from Bologna.
The transfer is a permanent deal, and Lucumi has signed a contract with Juventus until 30 June 2030.
That completes an operation Juventus had been working on for weeks, with the club's final confirmation arriving after the medical and the signing.
How much are Juventus paying for Lucumi?
According to the financial details of the operation, the base fee is 19.5 million euros, to be paid in three instalments.
Roughly 600,000 euros in additional costs are also foreseen, while Bologna can earn up to 2 million euros more through bonuses.
That means the total value of the operation, if every bonus is triggered, could reach approximately 22.1 million euros.
Contract until 2030
The official confirmation also brought one important change compared to the information circulating during the negotiations.
While some outlets had previously mentioned the possibility of a five-year contract until 2031, Juventus have now confirmed that Lucumi signed until 30 June 2030.
Juventus get an experienced centre-back
Lucumi arrives in Turin after four seasons at Bologna.
He made 152 appearances in total for the club from the Renato Dall'Ara, gained plenty of Serie A experience and made his Champions League debut. In its official presentation, Juventus describe him as a player in the prime of his career, ready to contribute to the team immediately in the 2026/27 season.
The Colombian thus becomes a new reinforcement for Luciano Spalletti's defence, giving the Bianconeri an extra option at left centre-back.
