Juventus are already considering their next moves in the transfer market, and one very interesting name has emerged from the Premier League. According to The Telegraph, the Bianconeri are monitoring the situation of Noni Madueke, the 24-year-old England international who is currently struggling for regular playing time at Arsenal.
Juventus are not the only club interested. Atletico Madrid are also keeping an eye on the situation, while more clubs could join the race if Arsenal decide to open the door for Madueke’s departure. For now, a potential loan move in January appears to be a more realistic option than a permanent transfer.
MADUEKE HAS FALLEN DOWN THE PECKING ORDER AT ARSENAL
Madueke finds himself in a very different situation this season compared to last year. His Premier League minutes have dropped significantly, while he has largely been used as a substitute. His only start came in the League Cup, with the competition for places in Mikel Arteta’s attack making his situation even more difficult.
His lack of playing time has also affected his international status. Madueke was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad, making his future in North London an increasingly interesting topic as the January transfer window approaches.
JUVENTUS ARE MONITORING HIM – BUT NO TALKS YET
At this stage, it is important to distinguish between interest and an actual transfer operation. There is no indication that Juventus have submitted an official offer to Arsenal or that negotiations have begun.
The Telegraph names Juventus and Atletico Madrid among the clubs who have admired Madueke for some time and are now closely monitoring his situation at Arsenal. Much could depend on how much playing time the England international receives in the coming weeks and what decision Arsenal make ahead of January.
A LOAN MOVE COULD BE THE KEY
If Madueke continues to struggle for minutes, a loan move is currently being considered a more likely scenario than a permanent transfer. The winger has a long-term contract with Arsenal, meaning a temporary departure could give him the regular football he needs without forcing the London club to sell him immediately.
That type of deal could be particularly attractive to Juventus, especially if the club wants to strengthen Luciano Spalletti’s attacking options in January without making a major immediate investment.
A PLAYER WHO COULD GIVE SPALLETTI MORE OPTIONS
Madueke is primarily a winger and is particularly dangerous when cutting inside from the right flank. His pace, one-on-one ability and versatility in the final third could give a coach additional tactical options.
For Juventus, he would therefore represent a different type of attacking profile. However, any potential move would also depend on the options already available to Spalletti, as well as possible departures during the January transfer window.
JUVENTUS ARE WAITING FOR A SIGNAL FROM LONDON
For now, there is no reason to describe a move as being close to completion. Juventus are one of the clubs monitoring Madueke, while the next few months will determine whether that interest develops into a concrete operation. If his situation at Arsenal does not change, January could open the door to a loan move – and that is when Juventus could become a serious contender for his signature.
