Adin Ličina has received the first major individual award of his young career. The Juventus youngster, currently on loan at Cremonese, was presented with the “Gianluca Vialli” Award after an impressive start to the season, in which he has scored two goals and provided one assist in official competitions.
An Award That Connects Talent and Character
The 19-year-old footballer received the award on October 6 at a ceremony held at the Fulgor cinema in Rimini. The prize, dedicated to a young Serie B talent, recognizes not only footballing ability but also character, sportsmanship and behavior both on and off the pitch.
For Ličina, the award carries a special meaning. Both Cremonese, where he is currently gaining valuable experience, and Juventus, the club that owns his contract, are connected to the career of the late Gianluca Vialli.
“It is an honor for me to receive this award, and I am very happy,” the young midfielder said.
Ličina thanked the organizers and explained that he had heard many great stories about Vialli at both clubs. The award was presented as a tribute to the values of the former Italy international, whose humanity left a mark just as significant as his achievements on the football pitch.
Two Goals and an Assist to Start the Season
Ličina has quickly shown why his development is attracting attention. So far this season, he has scored one goal in Serie B and one in the Coppa Italia, while also registering one assist. He made an immediate impact on his league debut against Padova in Cremonese’s 3–1 victory. First, he provided a headed assist before scoring himself after rounding the opposing goalkeeper with an impressive dribble.
He also made his mark against Parma in the Coppa Italia. In Cremonese’s 2–0 away victory, Ličina scored the second goal shortly before halftime with a composed finish from inside the penalty area. The two goals highlighted different aspects of his game, while his assist demonstrated his ability to create opportunities for his teammates as well.
From Bayern’s Academy to Juventus and Cremonese
Born in 2007, Ličina came through the youth academy of Bayern Munich before beginning his experience in Italian football with Juventus Next Gen. Last season, he made 13 appearances in Serie C, scoring one goal and providing one assist. This summer, he joined Cremonese on loan, giving him the opportunity to take the next step in his development and gain regular experience in Serie B.
His performances so far suggest that the move is already proving valuable. Ličina is gaining senior-level experience, while Juventus has the opportunity to closely monitor the development of one of its promising young talents.
Recovery Has Already Begun After Injury
His promising start to the season was interrupted by an injury to his left wrist suffered during a friendly match against Juventus, which subsequently required surgery. His latest medical checks showed that the recovery is progressing well, allowing Ličina to begin rehabilitation and work on his physical conditioning. A precise date for his return to competitive action has not yet been confirmed.
The award in Rimini therefore arrives as an additional boost during his recovery. After goals, an assist and his first major individual recognition, the next objective for the young footballer is clear: return to the pitch and continue his development at Cremonese.
