PREMIER LEAGUE GIANTS MAKE AN ENQUIRY
A major development concerning Kenan Yildiz's future has emerged in the final stages of the summer transfer window.
According to Italian journalist Luca Momblano, an important Premier League club contacted Juventus in the last few hours to enquire about the possibility of signing the Bianconeri's No.10.
The most significant part of the report, however, concerns Juventus' alleged response.
Momblano claims that, through Giovanni Carnevali, Juventus indicated that negotiations could potentially take place if an offer worth around £125 million – approximately €145–150 million – arrived. If accurate, this would represent a notable development in Juventus' position regarding one of their most valuable players.
€150 MILLION TO OPEN NEGOTIATIONS?
Yildiz has been regarded as one of the pillars of Juventus' sporting project.
Indeed, as recently as May, then-CEO Damien Comolli publicly stated that Juventus did not intend to sell the Turkish international. Momblano's latest information does not mean Juventus are actively trying to sell Yildiz. Instead, it suggests there could now be an extraordinary price at which the club would at least be prepared to discuss a potential transfer.
That figure would reportedly be in the region of €145–150 million.
IS ARSENAL THE CLUB IN QUESTION?
Momblano did not identify the Premier League club behind the enquiry, so it would be incorrect at this stage to claim that it was Arsenal.However, there is an important piece of context.
Arsenal's interest in Yildiz has been widely reported, with reports last week claiming the London club had already acted on its interest. Juventus were said to have little intention of selling the player even for a figure exceeding €100 million.
The story remains current. Reports published this week continue to place Yildiz among Arsenal's attacking targets, while today's transfer-rumour coverage has again linked the Gunners with the Juventus star.
Therefore, Arsenal would be an obvious possibility, but there is currently no reliable confirmation that they are the unnamed Premier League club mentioned by Momblano.
JUVENTUS HOLD A STRONG POSITION
Juventus are under no contractual pressure to sell their No.10.
Yildiz signed a new contract earlier this year that keeps him with the Bianconeri until 30 June 2030. That gives Juventus significant negotiating power.
A valuation approaching €150 million could therefore also be interpreted as a message to potential buyers: Yildiz is not available under normal market conditions, and only an exceptional offer could change the situation.
NO €150 MILLION BID HAS ARRIVED YET
There is an important distinction to make.
At present, there is no confirmed €145–150 million offer for Kenan Yildiz.
According to Momblano's report, a Premier League club made an enquiry and Juventus communicated the financial level at which negotiations could potentially become possible.
Therefore, the situation currently stands as follows: there is reported Premier League interest and an enquiry according to Momblano, while the €145–150 million figure represents Juventus' alleged threshold for negotiations - not a bid already submitted to the club.
The final days of the transfer window will now show whether the interested club is prepared to take the next step.
For the moment, Yildiz remains a central figure in Juventus' project. But if Momblano's information is confirmed, the message coming from Turin appears to be clear:
the door may not be completely closed anymore – but opening it would cost around €150 million.
