Besiktas make a serious move for Miretti
Fabio Miretti's future could lie in Turkey. Besiktas have significantly accelerated their pursuit of the Juventus midfielder in recent days, and the talks are no longer just an initial enquiry.
Fabrizio Romano now reports that the Turkish club is pushing hard for Miretti and that the player himself has shown openness to the transfer after a conversation with Besiktas coach Vincenzo Italiano. That is an important step forward: the obstacle is no longer whether Miretti would even accept a move to Istanbul.
La Gazzetta dello Sport also confirms that the 23-year-old midfielder has given the green light to the possibility of joining Besiktas immediately.
Italiano wants Miretti
Vincenzo Italiano plays an important role in the whole operation. The Besiktas coach rates Miretti's qualities highly and wants to bring him into his midfield. Tuttosport reports that Italiano would give him a significant role in the team. It was precisely the direct conversation with the coach that helped open the door to Miretti continuing his career in Turkey. If the transfer goes through, Miretti would once again play alongside former Juventus teammate Dusan Vlahovic in Istanbul.
A loan with an option to buy
Besiktas want Miretti through the formula: a loan plus an option to buy.
Sky Sport Italia confirm that Juventus and Besiktas are negotiating directly and that this formula is the basis of the talks. Romano adds another important detail: Miretti's contract terms also need to be agreed in advance in case Besiktas later activate the option to buy.
So it is not enough for Juventus and Besiktas to agree only on the loan. A complete financial and contractual solution has to be found that would allow Miretti to stay in Turkey if the purchase option is exercised.
Juventus previously wanted a permanent sale
When Besiktas enquired about Miretti earlier this summer, Juventus preferred a permanent transfer rather than another loan. The situation has now changed enough for the Bianconeri to discuss a loan with an option to buy as well. According to Tuttosport, Juventus have already placed Miretti among the players who can leave the club and want approximately 10-15 million euros for his permanent sale.
That is why the final structure of the buy-out will be one of the key elements of the negotiations.
Still no final agreement
Despite the major progress, the transfer is not done yet. Romano stresses that there is no final agreement. Besiktas and Juventus need to find common ground on the financial terms and then complete the contractual side of a potential permanent transfer. Sky also speak of negotiations, not a completed deal.

The transfer also matters for the rest of Juventus' market plans.
